Preparing Survey Activity was held.

The preparing survey activity meeting for the Curriculum Development in Clinical Dentistry Treatment with Haptic-Based Virtual Reality Application (CDHVR) project was successfully held online on October 11, 2024, with the participation of the partners. The meeting commenced with an inspiring opening speech by the project leader Aybu. Aybu highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts in advancing dental education and research. The warm welcome set a positive tone for the rest of the meeting, encouraging active participation and knowledge exchange among the partners.

One of the key highlights was the presentation by the Netherlands ACTA team, who shared their extensive experiences in preparing comprehensive surveys. Their insights into the methodology and best practices for survey design provided valuable guidance for the other partners. ACTA’s expertise ensured that the survey would effectively capture the necessary data to inform the curriculum development process.

The Romanian partner took the floor next, offering a detailed evaluation of the proposed survey questions. Their critical analysis and feedback were instrumental in refining the survey better to address the needs of dentistry students and teachers. By considering diverse perspectives, the survey was enhanced to ensure it would gather meaningful and actionable data.

Finally, representatives from the Academicians’ Union Association (AAU) shared their reflections on implementing virtual reality (VR) applications in previous projects. Their experiences highlighted the transformative potential of VR in dental education, offering immersive and interactive learning opportunities. The AAU’s insights underscored the importance of integrating innovative technologies into the curriculum to keep pace with advancements in the field.
